Eidfjord, Norway - August 4, 2016

Our luck with the weather has run out.  When we awoke this morning we were in Eidfjord heading toward the town of the same name.  It was cloudy with some fog, but it had been raining.  But the scenery was still spectacular.

After we arrived in Eidfjord we took a bus tour that took us out into the countryside.  We visited an incredible waterfall, part of the watershed that the Norwegians use to generate almost 100% of their energy.  The photos don't do it justice.

We also visited a nearby dam, also part of the hydroelectric system.  Here it started to rain. Our final stop was at a lodge for waffles.  We returned to the ship for tea and then set out (with raincoats) to explore the town.  It started to rain harder, so we cut our walk short.  The town is small, with only about 950 residents, so we were able to see a lot of it.
