Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada - July 23, 2016

After a day at sea, we arrived in Sydney at 8:00 in the morning.  The weather was in the low 70s and overcast, but no rain.  In the morning we took a bus tour that went along a very scenic drive to the village of Baddeck on Cape Breton Island.  There we had a couple of hours on our own.  It was very lovely, situated on the Bras d'or Lake.  The village was once the home of Alexander Graham Bell.  We visited a museum that featured artifacts of his life and showed some of his many inventions.  A number of his descendants still live in the area, but the family home is not open to the public.

After lunch back on the ship we went walking in Sydney.

That evening we attended a performance of two sisters playing the music of Cape Breton.
