Prince Christian Sound, Greenland - August 17, 2016

As you've probably noticed, we had gone through Prince Christian Sound in the other direction, but this time we took a slightly different route, so we saw different glaciers and icebergs.  The whole day to that point had been foggy, but as soon as we entered the sound it cleared.  There were patches of fog here and there, but mostly it was just gorgeous, although it was very cold.  As soon as we got out of the sound the fog returned.  Shortly after, we noticed on our TV monitor that we were just 7.5 miles from our next stop, Nanortalik.  We were not scheduled to be there until 7:00 the next morning.  We sailed past it, getting within four miles of it.  We continued on, into another fjord to view even more glaciers and icebergs.  We eventually turned around and went back out to sea, where we basically drifted until the next morning.
