St. John's, Antigua - February 19, 2014

We arrived at 7:00 in St. Johns.

As soon as we were off the ship we were immediately barraged by taxi drivers trying to sell us a tour.  They were quite aggressive.  Once we got out of the immediate pier area it was quieter.

Antigua is another lush island, but this time we found lots of birds. The island is a bit more seedy than St. Thomas, not quite as charming.  It was also not as easy to walk, with most areas having no sidewalks.

We didn't have a walking tour planned, but we did have one place we wanted to see -- St. John's cathedral.  It's in very bad shape, actually not being used now, but it's in the process of being restored.  The cemetery in the churchyard has graves dating back to the 1700s.

Once again we had a downpour around 2:30, after we were safe on board the ship.  We left Antigua at 3:30 on our way to Barbados tomorrow.
