Malaga, Spain - November 3, 2017

After a calm day at sea, during which we passed through the Straits of Gibraltar (after dark) we arrived in Malaga.  We left the ship at 8:30 on a tour to Granada and the Alhambra.  On the way, we traveled through downtown Malaga.  We wished we'd had a second day to explore the city, because it really looked interesting.  On the two hour bus trip to Granada we passed through olive-growing country.  It was lovely and hilly, but very dry.  We did a quick drive through Granada and then entered the Alhambra.  It was absolutely stunning.  Our guide walked us through on a 2 1/2 hour tour.  The only down side was that we were there with thousands of other people (8,000 a day).  Fortunately, they limit the number of visitors, but it was still way too crowded.  Afterwards we had lunch at a nearby restaurant.  We then boarded the bus for trip back to the ship.  We arrived 15 minutes past the all aboard time.  They pulled up the gangway behind us and we sailed at 6:00.

Miles walked: 3
