Valetta, Malta - November 20, 2017

After a day at sea, we sailed into Valetta at 7:00.  We were on the bow of the ship and the early morning sun was coming up on this beautiful medieval city.  We had two days here, so on our first day we opted to visit Mdina, once the capital of Malta.  After a little confusion we found the bus terminal.  After a 30-minute ride we got off near the center of the town.  Mdina, like many other ancient cities, has a walled old town.  It was really nice.  The weather was perfect and we had a great time exploring all the narrow streets.  When we felt like we'd seen it all, we got back on the bus for the return trip.  Back in Valetta we had lunch at a cafe and then did more walking.  At the cafe I had found some mince tarts for sale, so we enjoyed them with tea back on the ship.

Miles walked: 6
